Mengku Iceland (also known as "C Island" by local people) is a famous ancient tea-producing village in Shuangjiang County, Lincang City. It is famous for its large-leaf tea planting in Iceland, and it is one of the earliest places in the county where tea trees were cultivated artificially. Iceland tea is the main component of the famous big leaf species in Mengku, and Iceland Village is the main birthplace of tea species in Mengku. The local tea has a long history, and the recorded time is the Ming Dynasty (around 1485), but the legend without written records is earlier than the Ming Dynasty. There are different opinions about the origin of iceland tea: one is that the local toast "Banna Ancient Tea Mountain was introduced", and the other is that it was introduced from other places.
